At KB Fitness, our live class videos are about far more than just filming training clips. They are a way of capturing moments, celebrating progress and sharing the atmosphere that makes our kickboxing classes in London so special.
In a recent video, Chief Instructor Kelly KB spoke about why she regularly shares snippets from classes each week and the reasons behind it are simple: the students.
The videos become lasting memories of KB members’ martial arts journey. They offer them the chance to look back on moments they are proud of, while also giving friends and family a glimpse into the positive environment they are part of.
“It’s about sharing the love for what we do,” said Yasmin. “And the enjoyment that comes with training together.”
The live feeds also give non-members an closer look at what KB classes are really like – the energy, the encouragement, the learning experience and the community spirit inside the school.
Along the way, the videos often capture important milestones too. Whether it’s a grading, a tournament or an individual breakthrough moment, the clips allow students’ hard work and dedication to be recognised and celebrated together.
Occasionally, Kelly also steps in to teach parts of the lesson directly on camera. With so many students training across the school, the videos create another opportunity for members to learn directly from the Chief Instructor, even outside of normal class interaction.
Members have described the videos as “amazing keepsakes” and “invaluable” for helping them continue improving between lessons.
“One of the best things is being able to watch yourself back over time,” said Zuzanna. “You can actually see your progress, your confidence growing and even the techniques you still need to work on.”
Neil added: “The tutorials are great resources to go back over the lesson plan and practise again at home.”
Kelly also pointed out how fortunate martial arts students are today to have access to resources like class videos and online tutorials.
“When I was training, we didn’t have things like this,” she explained. “I don’t have videos of my own to look back on – all I have is one picture from my earliest training years.”
While many of the live feeds are shared publicly on social media so others can get an insight into what KB Fitness is all about, some moments are kept exclusively for members – special memories shared within the school community itself.
Ultimately, the videos are a reflection of the people who make the classes what they are: students giving their best, supporting one another and creating an atmosphere that people genuinely enjoy being part of.
