Well, despite the third lockdown in London, we head into 2021, with the usual enthusiasm and positivity – the school’s WhatsApp group was awash with happy comments.
As a collective team of students and instructors, we are raring to go. In fact everybody was buzzing after the first classes back.
At KB Fitness, our members are reminded that it is important to search for the joy and light in life. A fighting spirit is needed to refuse to be constantly overcast by the gloom of the pandemic.
Physical activity is an excellent way to combat the blues. Training in our school is always food for the soul, but particularly at these times.
Chief Instructor, Kelly Bunyan, wrote in her school’s newsletter this month:
“Well, into our school’s 22nd year of existence we go. I am feeling very optimistic about 2021. I hope you are feeling energised too, ready to apply yourself to all that the year has to offer. New year’s resolutions are always made around this time. For me, very little changes when it comes to my goals at the helm of my school. My ultimate goal, from one year to the next, is for you to feel fantastic as a direct result of your training in the martial arts.
I aspire to boost the physical and spiritual well-being of our members. After teaching 8000 or so people directly or indirectly, my enthusiasm is not waning, despite not having been able to watch my students spar (the most interesting element for me) for such a long time.”
All of our members have been invited to discuss their training plan with Kelly, to ascertain which goals they would like to achieve this year. Some would like to take a belt, start Kung Fu, the vast majority want to get super fit and have fun.
