This December, KB Fitness London marks a momentous occasion: its 25th anniversary. Founded in 1999 by Chief Instructor Kelly KB, the school has become a beacon of positivity, empowerment, and martial arts excellence.
Reflecting on this milestone, Kelly shared: “As we celebrate our school’s 25th anniversary, I find myself reflecting on the past quarter of a century. Next year, I’ll reach a personal milestone of my own – 40 years of training in the martial arts. It’s incredible to think about all the years, experiences, and countless lessons learned along the way. But what stands out most is what we’ve built together at KB, year after year.
Over time, our school has naturally evolved and changed. An essential part of that journey has been my ever-evolving teaching team. I am so proud of the instructors who have worked tirelessly to pass on the ethos I hold dear: to teach with positivity, to uplift with praise, and to encourage every student to become the best version of themselves. It’s this spirit of positivity that creates an environment where each KB member feels supported, valued, and empowered to strive for excellence.
Through all these changes, one thing has remained constant: the incredible dedication of everyone who has stepped into my multiple dojos. No matter how many students we have training with us, it has always been about the spirit of those who come to train – their commitment to achieving their goals, pushing beyond their limits, and creating moments of pride and accomplishment. As we celebrate this milestone, I am filled with gratitude for all who continue to show up with dedication and passion. Each KB member makes our dojo more than just a place to train; they make it a community, a family, and a home. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together, and I look forward to many more years of growth, learning, and shared triumphs.”
Kevin Brewerton, Kelly’s own instructor and a world-renowned martial artist, also shared his congratulations: “The KB school of martial arts is like a gem: a place where you can go to learn self-defence at the highest level while changing your life in countless ways. The positive energy, support, and experience from all of the instructors is life-changing. I congratulate Kelly and Dalia on 40 years of dedication to teaching the way of martial arts and on making a huge impact on the community and beyond!”
Many KB Fitness members also shared their heartfelt messages, reflecting on the impact the school has had on their lives. Ryan, KB Black Belt and instructor, expressed: “What an achievement to reach 25 years of the school. I loved reading your thoughts on the teaching team you’ve built and I take a massive amount of pride in being part of something bigger than myself as one of your instructors, and being able to pass on your ethos and teachings.”
Jenny highlighted the unique ethos of the school: “Your passion and commitment have created a unique, welcoming ethos that is so rare in martial arts schools. Here’s to many more years of success!”
Khoi reflected on the school’s longevity: “25 years is such an amazing milestone! We, the students, are the ones filled with gratitude for your, Dalia’s, and the teaching team’s continuous dedication to teaching us martial arts. Long live KB Fitness!”
Kim acknowledged the transformative impact of KB Fitness: “KB Fitness is a beacon of hope and positivity in London. Your dedication and passion have built an enduring legacy, and I look forward to seeing many more transformative experiences in the years to come.”
Neil noted the school’s lasting impact: “It’s been great to see people returning to training recently, which shows the KB magic never truly leaves us. The quality of teaching has always been at the heart of this school, and it’s what keeps us coming back.”
Adam marvelled at the school’s enduring influence: “Twenty-five years is an incredible milestone. Even if just a small percentage of students have left feeling better than before, that’s a bigger impact than most can make in a lifetime.”
Kelly FN shared gratitude for Kelly’s leadership: “Thank you for creating a space where students can find motivation, support, and determination. KB Fitness changes lives, even if we don’t always get to see the full impact. Here’s to the next 25 years!”
Frederike summed up the collective pride of the community: “It’s a fabulous bit of KB history to be part of this December. Thank you for keeping the school up and running for all this time so we can enjoy the benefits of martial arts training today.”
As the school celebrates this wonderful anniversary, we look forward to continuing our journey and welcoming new members into the KB family.
Congratulations to Kelly KB, the teaching team, and every member of KB Fitness who has made these 25 years so special. Here’s to the next 25!
