Who We Are

KB Self Defence has been established since 1999. Complete beginners are encouraged to join us – you can join any week, there is no set start date. Other beginners join us most weeks, too.

We are looking to empower women in London; to help you feel safer and more capable of defending yourself. Running away is always our best advice, but what if you can’t and must fight back?

What would you do if you were grabbed, pushed onto a bed, to the floor, or strangled?

KB Self Defence in Euston, Central London, will teach you valuable techniques to give you a fighting chance. As a women owned and run martial arts school, we pride ourselves on our warm and friendly environment, where our instructors nurture you and genuinely care about your wellbeing and your safety. After all, we share your concerns day to day.

Our beginner KB Self Defence classes are perfect for anyone looking to get started. However nervous stepping into the unknown makes you feel, better to make that step and learn how to defend yourself in case you ever need to, right?

We’d love to welcome you in person in London, but if that’s not possible, there are flexible ways to train that still keep you connected to the class.

London Class: THURSDAY 7-8PM
Studio near Euston and King’s Cross tube stations.​

Can’t make it in person?
You can also join live online via Zoom, or catch up on demand if you need flexibility.​

Our focus on inclusivity means that our classes are mixed gender. If you would prefer to only partner with a certain gender, we can accommodate you.

  You can get started at any time. There is no ‘first week’ as such; every week we teach new content to all in attendance, however long they have been training.       We revise the past two classes every third week, too. Repetition is a must, helping techniques become instinctive and confident under pressure.
